The Kiratpur–Nerchowk four-lane highway has cut about 90 minutes off the older route, and the Aut Tunnel bypasses the Pandoh gorge. From Mandi onward the road narrows along the Beas, which is why we assign only hill-experienced drivers here.

  1. Day 1 – Delhi to Manali (540 km). 5 am departure, breakfast at Murthal, lunch near Mandi, reach Manali by 6–7 pm. Evening on Mall Road.
  2. Day 2 – Manali local + Solang Valley / Atal Tunnel. Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisht hot springs, Old Manali cafés. Afternoon at Solang Valley and a drive through the Atal Tunnel to Sissu (weather permitting; Rohtang Pass needs a permit and opens roughly May–October).
  3. Day 3 – Kullu, Naggar and Manikaran. Naggar Castle and Roerich Gallery, rafting at Pirdi, Kullu shawl factories. With an extra day, continue 75 km to Kasol and Manikaran Sahib.
